Re-export of pocket, pen knives with folding blades from Madagascar grows in 2016

In 2016 consumer goods export strongly rose by 233.33 percent, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office display. Consumer goods export climbed greatly from 6 kilogram to 20 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it diminished by 94.74%. Madagascar saw a decrease of 53.49% in consumer goods export during the last 16 years. Furthermore, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.33% during the 5 years with a modest overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 93.19 kilogram from 2001 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 357 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 2 kilogram in 2010.
