Import of groundnut oilcake and other solid residues to Chile goes down in 2017

In 2017 the variable sharply decreased by 31.37 percent, according to adjusted figures released by United Nations Statistical Office. Groundnut import greatly dropped by 3 779 920 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it grew by 9.32%. Chile saw a rise of 451.43% in groundnut import during the last 27 years. However, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.1 percent during the five years with a negligible overall growth since the 1991. It averaged 7 472 403.04 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 18 213 900 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 230 787 kilogram in 1993.
