Export of medicaments containing insulin but not antibiotics for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses or for retail sale from Lithuania grows in 2016

European Commission announced that insulin export increased by 16.79 percent compared to the year before. It pinpoints the all-time maximum since 2000 as the indicator rose from 6 597 340 Euro to 7 705 120 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 15.17 percent. Lithuania saw a raise of 2 060.96% in insulin export over the past 17 years. Furthermore, it has had an increase at a 0.07 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last five years with a negligible overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 2 756 419.41 Euro from 2000 to 2016 and it reached its minimum of 36 650 Euro in 2002.
