Export of waste or scrap containing gold as sole precious metal from Australia: Rise in 2016

In comparison with the previous year gold export greatly climbed by 123.6%, refreshed numbers from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The indicator strongly rose by 16 720 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 59.4 percent. Australia saw a rise of 13 649.09% in gold export during the last 29 years. Moreover, it has attained a 0.39 percent compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a marginal overall increase since the 1988. It averaged 77 469.52 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 673 821 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 16 kilogram in 1990.
