Import of halogen derivatives of phenols or phenol-alcohols to Sri Lanka remains unchanged in 2017

Organic chemicals import remained the same compared with the previous year, according to new data released by United Nations Statistical Office. For the 2nd consecutive year, the variable held steady at 20 878 kilogram. The overall changes for the prior 28 years attained an increase of 54.61%. Still it has had a decrease at a 0.06% compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 14 500.75 kilogram from 1990 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 28 375 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 5 625 kilogram in 1993.
