Export of roasted chicory and other coffee substitutes from Japan: Growth in 2017

Compared to the prior year chicory export strongly rose by 37.5 percent, revised numbers from United Nations Statistical Office display. The indicator grew sharply by 33 488 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 5.15%. Japan saw a rise of 187.39% in chicory export during the last 30 years. As well as it has had a 0.05% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 91 311.13 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 198 417 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 25 583 kilogram in 2011.
