Import of tin bars, rods, profiles and wire to Malaysia: Increase in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office announced that in 2017 tin import went up sharply by 199.85 percent. Tin import greatly increased from 1 806 732 kilogram in 2016 to 5 417 574.5 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it grew by 36.45 percent. Malaysia saw a rise of 1 988.32% in tin import over the past 29 years. Likewise, it has attained a growth at a 0.15 percent average annual growth rate over the last five years with a slight overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 13 534 113.88 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 154 998 288 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 33 367 kilogram in 2003.
