Import of waste or scrap containing gold as sole precious metal to Malaysia: Increase in 2017

According to new numbers presented by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 gold import climbed by 29.23%. Gold import increased by 27 895 464 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went up by 46.54%. The overall changes for the prior 29 years attained a raise of 79 184.42%. However, it has had a fall at a 0.06% compound annual growth rate over the five years with a slight overall increase since the 1989. It averaged 62 509 512.28 US Dollar from 1989 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 275 704 128 US Dollar in 2012 and record low of 4 248 US Dollar in 1997.
