Chromium consumption in Iran declines in 2015

The variable decreased sharply by 102.78 percent in comparison with the prior year, according to adjusted data published by U.S. Geological Survey. Chromium consumption diminished greatly from -36 thousand tonnes in 2014 to 1 thousand tonnes previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 32.08 percent. The overall changes for the previous 13 years reached a decline of 150%. Furthermore, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.42 percent during the five years with a modest overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged -2.37 thousand tonnes from 2003 to 2015 and it attained its all-time high of 77 thousand tonnes in 2009 and record low of -53 thousand tonnes in 2013.
