According to new statistics presented by European Commission, the variable dropped by 12.36% in 2017. Flax yarn export fell from 238 210 Euro to 208 770 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 5.28%. The overall changes for the previous 13 years reached a decline of 22.29%. Besides, it has had a negative compound annual growth rate of 0.01 percent over the last 5 years with a modest overall fall since the start of observations. It averaged 362 086.15 Euro from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 310 140 Euro in 2006 and record low of 195 410 Euro in 2014.
