Import of refined maize oil and fractions to Georgia goes up in 2017

Compared to the previous year maize oil import increased barely by 4.42%, revised figures from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The variable grew negligibly from 1 180 403 kilogram to 1 232 570 kilogram, in comparison to the prior year when it diminished by 23.5 percent. Georgia saw an increase of 832 717.57% in maize oil import during the last 20 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.01% compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall growth since the 1998. It averaged 551 392.45 kilogram from 1998 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 1 542 914 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 148 kilogram in 1998.
