Export of frozen shrimps and prawns from Cyprus declines in 2017

According to refreshed figures presented by United Nations Statistical Office, in 2017 the indicator went down sharply by 94.87%. Frozen shrimps export declined strongly from 18 924 kilogram to 970 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it rose by 61.08 percent. The overall changes for the prior 29 years hit a raise of 125.58%. However, it has had a negative CAGR of 0.34% during the last five years with a modest overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 7 566.41 kilogram from 1989 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 43 332 kilogram in 2001 and record low of 237 kilogram in 2008.
