Cottonseed consumption in Cameroon: Rise in 2017

The indicator grew slightly by 2.22% in comparison to the prior year, adjusted statistics from U.S. Department of Agriculture highlight. The variable negligibly went up from 225 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 230 thousand tonnes previous year, compared to the prior year when it declined by 6.25 percent. Cameroon saw a growth of 289.83% in cottonseed consumption over the past 49 years. Furthermore, the cottonseed consumption is now bigger than its average which equals 126.84 thousand tonnes and the indicator pinpoints a modest overall rise since the start of observations. It attained its all-time high of 250 thousand tonnes in 2004 and record low of 21 thousand tonnes in 1973.
