Import of twine, cordage, rope or cables of sisal or other textile fibres to France goes up in 2017

Twine import increased greatly by 36.4% in comparison to the previous year, according to statistics presented by European Commission. The indicator grew sharply from 638 700 kilogram to 871 200 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it climbed by 21.33 percent. The overall changes for the previous 9 years reached a growth of 17.67%. Moreover, it has had a raise at a 0.01% compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall drop since the 2009. It averaged 708 588.89 kilogram from 2009 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 885 000 kilogram in 2010 and record low of 511 000 kilogram in 2012.
