Import of horse, ass, mule, hinny meat to the UK: Increase in 2017

According to updated data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison to the prior year the variable strongly rose by 75.5 percent. Horse meat import increased greatly by 2 485.47 US Dollar, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went up by 789.73 percent. The UK saw a decline of 77.34% in horse meat import during the last 25 years. Moreover, it has had a 0.37% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a slight overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 99 131.58 US Dollar from 1993 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 1 841 931 US Dollar in 2006 and record low of 114 US Dollar in 1997.
