Sales of marble granules, chippings and powder in France: Decline in 2016

Marble sales greatly dropped by 46.14 percent in 2016, updated numbers from European Commission demonstrate. The variable sharply decreased by 420 311.09 thousand kilograms, contrarily to the previous year when it rose by 3.12 percent. The overall changes for the prior 22 years hit a decline of 23.5%. Likewise, it has had a drop at a 0.11 percent CAGR during the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 461 610.4 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 910 952.69 thousand kilograms in 2015 and record low of 183 660 thousand kilograms in 1997.
