Export of shelled groundnuts from El Salvador falls in 2017

United Nations Statistical Office reported that groundnuts export sharply dropped by 92.05 percent in comparison with the prior year. Groundnuts export fell greatly from 54 240 kilogram in 2016 to 4 314.26 kilogram previous year, versus the prior year when it grew by 135 500%. El Salvador saw a fall of 65.97% in groundnuts export during the last 24 years. Furthermore, it has attained a 1.6% compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 96 495.3 kilogram from 1994 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 426 687 kilogram in 1999 and record low of 40 kilogram in 2015.
