Electricity consumption in mining and processing of ferrous metal ores in China: Drop in 2015

China National Statistical Office announced that electricity consumption went down by 26.44 percent in comparison to the previous year. Electricity consumption decreased by 123.97 hundred million kilowatthour, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 0.19%. China saw an increase of 443.37% in electricity consumption over the past 16 years. Still it has shown a decline at a 0.05% CAGR during the 5 years with a negligible overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 271.97 hundred million kilowatthour from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 469.69 hundred million kilowatthour in 2013 and record low of 63.46 hundred million kilowatthour in 2000.
