Soybean production in Turkey: Fall in 2017

According to statistics presented by U.S. Department of Agriculture, in 2017 soybean production fell by 15%. Soybean production decreased from 100 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 85 thousand tonnes prior year, when it remained stable by 0%. Turkey saw a rise of 1 600% in soybean production over the past 54 years. However, it has shown a negative CAGR of 0.08% over the last five years with a sharp overall raise since the 1964. It averaged 49.63 thousand tonnes from 1964 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 135 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 2 thousand tonnes in 1980.
