Soybean production in Turkey: Fall in 2017

The variable fell by 15% compared with the prior year, adjusted numbers from U.S. Department of Agriculture indicate. The indicator diminished from 100 thousand tonnes in 2016 to 85 thousand tonnes previous year, when it remained unchanged by 0%. Turkey saw a rise of 1 600% in soybean production during the last 54 years. However, it has attained a negative average annual growth rate of 0.08 percent over the 5 years with a sharp overall growth since the start of observations. It averaged 49.63 thousand tonnes from 1964 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 135 thousand tonnes in 2014 and record low of 2 thousand tonnes in 1980.
