Production of salt suitable for human consumption in Portugal: Increase in 2016

According to figures announced by European Commission, in comparison to the previous year condiment production grew by 25.17 percent. Condiment production increased from 73 942 912 kilogram to 92 556 952 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it rose by 11.98%. The overall changes for the previous 9 years attained a decrease of 10.41%. Furthermore, the condiment production is now above average of 87 844 245.33 kilogram and the indicator displays a slight overall diminution since the start of time series. It hit its all-time high of 105 882 672 kilogram in 2009 and record low of 66 034 280 kilogram in 2014.
