Export of textile fabric for card clothing and for technical use from Malaysia: Decline in 2017

According to revised data presented by United Nations Statistical Office, compared to the previous year the variable sharply declined by 39.14 percent. The indicator dropped strongly from 652 959 kilogram in 2016 to 397 383.47 kilogram previous year, compared with the prior year when it increased by 4.17 percent. Malaysia saw a raise of 1 947.74% in textile export over the past 21 years. Though, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.11 percent during the last five years with a marginal overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 284 741.31 kilogram from 1997 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 956 517 kilogram in 2003 and record low of 15 375 kilogram in 2001.
