Import of animal fats, oils, fractions not chemically modified to Portugal: Diminution in 2017

Animal fats import dropped greatly by 49.01% compared with the prior year, according to statistics presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator sharply diminished by 1 452 365 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it climbed by 3.64%. Portugal saw an increase of 164.4% in animal fats import over the past 30 years. Moreover, it has had a 1.11% average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 554 561.93 kilogram from 1988 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 2 963 109 kilogram in 2016 and record low of 1 kilogram in 2011.
