Sales of molluscs in Portugal: Decrease in 2015

According to revised numbers published by European Commission, processed seafood sales went down by 13.89 percent in comparison to 2014. The variable diminished by 1 513.65 thousand kilograms, contrarily to the prior year when it went up by 55.37 percent. Portugal saw a raise of 26.44% in processed seafood sales over the past 8 years. Besides, it has had the compound annual growth rate of 0.08% during the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the 2008. It averaged 7 741 thousand kilograms from 2008 to 2015 and it reached its all-time high of 10 893.81 thousand kilograms in 2014 and record low of 6 099.82 thousand kilograms in 2012.
