Fuel oil demand in Japan: Diminution in April 2018

JODI Data published that compared to the previous month fuel oil demand fell by 28.11%. It's the lowest number ever established since 2002 as the indicator decreased from 9 310.68 thousand barrels to 6 693.3 thousand barrels, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it diminished by 10.1%. When considering 2017, it can be observed that the variable was increasing by 0.07% and attained 8 924.4 thousand barrels in April. This highlights a -25% fluctuation between April 2017 and April 2018. Japan saw a diminution of 62.66% in fuel oil demand during the last 16 years. Compared with its average, the fuel oil demand is now smaller as the mean equals 14 766.36 thousand barrels with a slight overall drop since the 2002. It hit its maximum of 23 825.5 thousand barrels in December 2002.
