Import of silk yarn from silk waste and silk worm gut to Lithuania goes down in 2017

Compared to the prior year silk import went down strongly by 83.02 percent, updated data from United Nations Statistical Office show. Silk import sharply fell by 725.59 kilogram, versus the previous year when it climbed by 44.22 percent. Lithuania saw a decrease of 98.43% in silk import over the past 24 years. Furthermore, it has had a fall at a 0.01% compound average annual growth rate over the last 5 years with a modest overall decline since the 1994. It averaged 1 075.98 kilogram from 1994 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 9 478 kilogram in 1994 and record low of 3 kilogram in 1998.
