Value of manufacturer's inventories of food products finished goods in United States drops in May 2018

U.S. Census Bureau published that compared with the previous month the indicator barely diminished by 0.32 percent. Manufacturing inventories of processed food declined hardly from 29 590 million US Dollars to 29 495 million US Dollars, as it follows the tendency of the prior month when it went down by 0.05%. The same month one year earlier, the variable dropped by -0.39% and attained 28 785 million US Dollars. Between May 2017 and the same month one year later, the numbers show a 2.47% variation. United States saw a growth of 100.92% in manufacturing inventories of processed food during the last 26 years. Furthermore, the manufacturing inventories of processed food is now above average of 21 121.85 million US Dollars with a negligible overall rise since the start of observations. It reached its all-time high of 31 080 million US Dollars in October 2014 and record low of 13 614 million US Dollars in April 1992.
