Sales of fresh or chilled whole chickens in Netherlands: Fall in 2016

Chicken sales diminished negligibly by 1.34 percent in comparison to the previous year, according to revised numbers released by European Commission. The indicator hardly went down from 46 761 thousand kilograms to 46 133 thousand kilograms, versus the previous year when it grew by 6.72%. Netherlands saw a fall of 67.69% in chicken sales over the past 22 years. As well as it has attained a negative CAGR of 0.02 percent during the 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the start of time series. It averaged 99 477.73 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 142 803 thousand kilograms in 1995 and record low of 39 291 thousand kilograms in 2011.
