Import of twill cotton of yarns of different colours containing less than 85% by weight of cotton weighing more than 200 g/m2 to Chile: Decline in 2017

According to updated numbers published by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison to the prior year cotton import strongly diminished by 93.05 percent. The variable fell sharply from 21 014 kilogram to 1 459.43 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 65.87%. The overall changes for the prior 27 years reached a fall of 85.59%. Likewise, it has attained a decrease at a 0.55 percent compound average annual growth rate over the five years with a modest overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 18 919.87 kilogram from 1991 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 110 070 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 77 kilogram in 1998.
