Vehicles production in Portugal increases in 2017

The indicator rose by 22.68% compared with the prior year, according to numbers released by OICA. The variable increased from 143 096 to 175 544, in comparison with the previous year when it diminished by 8.64%. Portugal saw a decrease of 34.29% in vehicle production over the past 21 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.03 percent compound average annual growth rate during the last five years with a modest overall diminution since the start of observations. It averaged 201 188.9 from 1997 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 271 030 in 1998 and record low of 126 015 in 2009.
