Sales of frozen carcases, half-carcases, quarters and cuts, of beef and veal in Austria: Raise in 2016

European Commission published that beef meat sales grew by 7.15% in 2016. Beef meat sales rose by 1 386.33 thousand kilograms, in comparison with the previous year when it went down by 8.41%. Austria saw a growth of 494.46% in beef meat sales over the past 22 years. Moreover, it has had a 0.01% CAGR during the last five years with a slight overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 7 998.75 thousand kilograms from 1995 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 21 165.29 thousand kilograms in 2014 and record low of 1 369.53 thousand kilograms in 2003.
