Flax yarn import greatly rose by 3 500 percent compared to the prior year, updated statistics from European Commission show. The indicator strongly climbed from 100 kilogram to 3 600 kilogram, versus the previous year when it went down by 50%. Ireland saw a decrease of 38.98% in flax yarn import over the past 13 years. Moreover, it has had an increase at a 0.48 percent compound annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall diminution since the 2005. It averaged 1 815.38 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 5 900 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 100 kilogram in 2016.
