New vehicles registrations in Tahiti climbs in 2017

Compared to 2016 vehicle registration greatly rose by 37.68 percent, according to numbers issued by OICA. The indicator grew sharply from 3 800 in 2016 to 5 232 previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it increased by 11.76%. Tahiti saw a fall of 28.33% in vehicle registration over the past 13 years. Besides, it has shown a 0.08 percent CAGR during the 5 years with a slight overall drop since the start of observations. It averaged 5 294.77 from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 7 700 in 2007 and record low of 3 400 in 2015.
