Import of maize (corn) starch to France increases in 2017

Compared to the prior year food waste import went up by 16.94%, new statistics from European Commission demonstrate. Food waste import rose by 7 805 292 Euro, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 18.24%. It attained its 23-year high. France saw an increase of 101.38% in food waste import over the past 23 years. Likewise, it has had a 0.04 percent average annual growth rate over the five years with a marginal overall rise since the start of time series. It averaged 35 621 362.17 Euro from 1995 to 2017 and it hit its minimum of 26 756 500 Euro in 1995.
