Import of roses to Namibia drops in 2016

According to data published by United Nations Statistical Office, the variable strongly dropped by 85.71% in comparison with the same time an year ago. Cut flower import went down sharply by 4 679 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it went up by 44.23 percent. The overall changes for the previous 17 years hit a drop of 62.87%. Likewise, it has shown a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.16% over the last 5 years with a modest overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 3 448.12 kilogram from 2000 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 18 374 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 26 kilogram in 2003.
