Export of plain weave cotton of yarns of different colours containing more than 85% by weight of cotton weighing more than 200 g/m2 from Thailand climbs in 2016

In comparison to the prior year cotton export went up strongly by 83.89 percent, according to updated data published by United Nations Statistical Office. The variable greatly climbed from 1 111 kilogram in 2015 to 2 043 kilogram prior year, compared with the previous year when it decreased by 16.4 percent. Thailand saw a diminution of 93.46% in cotton export over the past 22 years. Likewise, it has had a fall at a 0.01% compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a modest overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 10 684.86 kilogram from 1995 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 59 847 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 1 005 kilogram in 2000.
