Import of mixtures of spices to Azerbaijan declines in 2016

In 2016 spices import dropped greatly by 87.04%, adjusted statistics from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. Spices import strongly declined from 51 969 kilogram to 6 735 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 45.92%. Azerbaijan saw a raise of 276.47% in spices import during the last 20 years. However, it has shown a decrease at a 0.41% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 38 940.7 kilogram from 1997 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 100 386 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 265 kilogram in 1998.
