Import of yarn of artificial staple fibres not packaged for retail sale to Austria falls in 2017

Yarn import decreased greatly by 50.52 percent compared to the previous year, revised data from European Commission show. Yarn import strongly went down from 18 630 020 Euro in 2016 to 9 217 780 Euro prior year, versus the previous year when it climbed by 418.29 percent. Austria saw a growth of 26.42% in yarn import during the last 23 years. Though, it has attained a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.02% during the last 5 years with a slight overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 9 376 203.48 Euro from 1995 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 18 845 160 Euro in 2007 and record low of 3 594 540 Euro in 2015.
