Import of live pure-bred breeding horses to Argentina declines in 2017

According to updated data presented by United Nations Statistical Office, in comparison with one year earlier horses import dropped by 8.84%. The indicator decreased from 81 920 kilogram in 2016 to 74 680 kilogram previous year, compared with the prior year when it rose by 157.45 percent. Argentina saw a decline of 35.04% in horses import over the past 25 years. Besides, it has shown a 0.05 percent compound annual growth rate during the 5 years with a slight overall growth since the start of time series. It averaged 81 565.08 kilogram from 1993 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 203 460 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 31 820 kilogram in 2015.
