Soybean oil consumption in United Arab Emirates: Stagnation in 2017

According to data released by U.S. Department of Agriculture, the indicator remained the same compared to the prior year. The variable remained unchanged at 21 thousand tonnes, for the 2nd consecutive year. United Arab Emirates saw a increase of 75% in soybean oil consumption over the past 22 years. Still it has shown a decline at a 0.12% compound annual growth rate during the last five years with a sharp overall raise since the start of observations. It averaged 35.32 thousand tonnes from 1996 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 64 thousand tonnes in 2008 and record low of 5 thousand tonnes in 2000.
