Import of sets of hand tools put up in sets for retail sale to Samoa declines in 2017

Construction equipment import dropped strongly by 70.67 percent in comparison with one year earlier, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office reveal. The variable sharply went down by 6 964.65 kilogram, in contrast to the prior year when it went up by 127.91 percent. Samoa saw a raise of 65.92% in construction equipment import over the past 16 years. Though, it has shown a diminution at a 0.22 percent average annual growth rate during the five years with a slight overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 3 668.21 kilogram from 2002 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 11 016 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 664 kilogram in 2008.
