Import of carded or combed artificial staple fibres to Uruguay: Growth in 2016

According to figures published by United Nations Statistical Office, synthetic fiber import went up greatly by 92.19 percent in 2016. The indicator rose sharply from 576 kilogram in 2015 to 1 107 kilogram prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it fell by 67.33%. Uruguay saw a decline of 48.84% in synthetic fiber import during the last 23 years. Moreover, it has shown a rise at a 0.23 percent CAGR during the 5 years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 26 230.74 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 110 933 kilogram in 2005 and record low of 400 kilogram in 2012.
