Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Saudi Arabia: Decrease in 2016

Horses import fell by 15.1% in comparison with the prior year, revised numbers from United Nations Statistical Office show. Horses import dropped by 85 681.38 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it increased by 41.16%. Saudi Arabia saw a rise of 2 286.7% in horses import during the last 26 years. Likewise, it has attained the compound annual growth rate of 0.12% during the last five years with a modest overall increase since the 1991. It averaged 145 396.68 kilogram from 1991 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 567 461 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 20 186 kilogram in 1991.
