Fuel oil consumption in power generation in China: Fall in 2015

China National Statistical Office published that fuel oil consumption declined by 11.39% compared to the previous year. It reached its 16-year low as the indicator decreased from 35.55 ten thousand metric ton to 31.5 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 24.81%. China saw a decline of 96.13% in fuel oil consumption over the past 16 years. Besides, it has had a decrease at a 0.12% compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 533.36 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its maximum of 1 429.19 ten thousand metric ton in 2004.
