Fuel oil consumption in power generation in China: Fall in 2015

Fuel oil consumption dropped by 11.39% compared with the previous year, according to adjusted figures issued by China National Statistical Office. The indicator declined from 35.55 ten thousand metric ton to 31.5 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it decreased by 24.81 percent. It's new all-time minimum since 2000. The overall changes for the previous 16 years attained a decrease of 96.13%. Moreover, it has shown a decline at a 0.12% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a modest overall diminution since the 2000. It averaged 533.36 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its maximum of 1 429.19 ten thousand metric ton in 2004.
