Import of cement clinkers to South Africa: Raise in 2017

According to numbers released by United Nations Statistical Office, the variable strongly climbed by 375.37 percent compared to the same time an year ago. Cement clinkers import grew greatly by 31 114 229 kilogram, in contrast to the previous year when it decreased by 46.14%. South Africa saw a rise of 131.7% in cement clinkers import during the last 18 years. Furthermore, it has attained an increase at a 0.02% average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall fall since the 2000. It averaged 122 126 709.11 kilogram from 2000 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 619 990 592 kilogram in 2007 and record low of 8 289 055 kilogram in 2016.
