Turnover of cotton and hemp in China declines in 2016

According to updated numbers issued by China National Statistical Office, compared with the previous year cotton and hemp turnover went down slightly by 0.17%. The variable fell negligibly by 0.9 hundred million Yuan Renminbi, in contrast to the prior year when it increased by 13.34%. China saw a growth of 28.14% in cotton and hemp turnover over the past 9 years. Besides, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.01% over the last five years with a negligible overall raise since the start of time series. It averaged 491.91 hundred million Yuan Renminbi from 2008 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 572.62 hundred million Yuan Renminbi in 2011 and record low of 402.97 hundred million Yuan Renminbi in 2008.
