New vehicles registrations in Qatar falls in 2017

Vehicle registration decreased by 21.87 percent in 2017, according to new statistics released by OICA. It reveals the all-time minimum since 2005 as vehicle registration fell from 63 700 to 49 767, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it went down by 26.27%. The overall changes for the prior 13 years reached a decrease of 41.1%. Moreover, it has had a negative average annual growth rate of 0.1% during the 5 years with a marginal overall fall since the start of time series. It averaged 73 943.62 from 2005 to 2017 and it attained its maximum of 92 900 in 2014.
