Flax yarn import grew by 20 percent in comparison with the previous year, new figures from European Commission illustrate. Flax yarn import went up from 500 kilogram in 2016 to 600 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it increased by 150%. Czech Republic saw a drop of 60% in flax yarn import during the last 13 years. As well as it has shown a fall at a 0.26% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the start of observations. It averaged 2 423.08 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 6 600 kilogram in 2011 and record low of 200 kilogram in 2015.
