Chromium material consumption in United States decreases in 2015

According to statistics published by U.S. Geological Survey, in comparison to the previous year chromium consumption went down by 26.2%. The variable diminished by 158 000 metric ton, contrarily to the prior year when it grew by 26.42%. The overall changes for the previous 18 years attained a diminution of 15.08%. Furthermore, it has attained a decline at a 0.03% compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a marginal overall drop since the 1998. It averaged 491 500 metric ton from 1998 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 612 000 metric ton in 2000 and record low of 160 000 metric ton in 2009.
