Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Latvia: Fall in 2016

According to figures announced by United Nations Statistical Office, horses import declined by 7.07 percent compared to the prior year. The indicator decreased by 2 275 kilogram, contrarily to the previous year when it increased by 228.32 percent. Latvia saw a decline of 36.92% in horses import during the last 23 years. Likewise, it has attained a 0.45 percent compound average annual growth rate during the five years with a modest overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 6 247.09 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 47 398 kilogram in 1994 and record low of 500 kilogram in 2010.
