Import of cotton yarn containing less than 85% by weight of cotton to Uruguay rises in 2016

According to statistics issued by United Nations Statistical Office, compared with the previous year cotton import sharply went up by 51.1 percent. The variable greatly climbed by 746 kilogram, versus the prior year when it went down by 73.1 percent. The overall changes for the previous 23 years reached a rise of 9 927.27%. Furthermore, it has had the compound average annual growth rate of 0.23 percent over the five years with a negligible overall increase since the start of time series. It averaged 983.09 kilogram from 1994 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 5 428 kilogram in 2014 and record low of 22 kilogram in 1994.
